Široké sukne doplní o ramienka a opasok, z prapodivných materiálov zase nastrihá kabelky.

So excited to show you where I’m at in this piece’s refashion journey, with that thrift-store smell gone, thanks to @febreze Clothing Odor Eliminator! My original plan was to refashion this thrifted dress into a jumpsuit. But I underestimated just how much fabric pants require so I had to go with option B. One of the most challenging parts of refashioning for me is how limited the fabric quantity is, thus narrowing down so many design options.😅 . And if you’re noticing the buttons missing, it’s because this refashion is not done yet! As part two of the refashion journey of this dress, I now need your votes! Most of you from the part one post said I should dye it so I’ll be dyeing it in either: 1. Rust orange 2. Olive green 3. Mustard yellow The color that gets the most votes in the next 24 hours will determine the fate of this dress so vote below, #1, #2, or #3! And don’t forget to check out the link in my bio to grab your own @Febreze Clothing Odor Eliminator, the magic spray that gets rid of odors so you can spray that thrift-store smell goodbye! #FebrezePartner #readytowearcollection

The Refashion Runway: 6 weeks of elimination, 6 challenges, and 1 final winner. Week 3 Challenge: Handbag, Tote bag or Clutch. Swipe to see the other handbag I made for my daughter. Full blog post: link in bio or www.ourlifeisbeautiful.com/diy-mens-leather-jacket-to-fringe-tote/ I knew I wanted the bag to be made out of black leather so I scoured a couple thrift stores to find the right one. After taking it apart, the leather was thinner than it seemed at first, so I thought it would be perfect to add fringe, it’s light enough to have movement but thick enough so it doesn’t look stringy. What do you think of my execution for week 3 challenge? Follow along the hashtag #refashionrunwayST to see them all! Below are the challenges for each week. Week 1: Florals and stripes Week 2: Gingham Week 3: Handbag, Tote bag or Clutch Week 4: Maxi Skirt or Dress Week 5: Boho Chic Week 6: Asymmetrical

Wearing this for the 4th!🇺🇸 . 2 yrs. ago today, after all of the 4th of July celebrations, my dad had a stroke that took his life away a month later. Perhaps he waited until then, because he wanted to celebrate the Country he loved & respected so deeply. When he was 12, his dad's best friend/business partner ran away with all their money, leaving his wealthy parents broke. They could no longer afford to send him to school but determined to get his education, he went to live with his oldest brother's family. He then met the missionaries in HS & was baptized. Every Sunday in College, he woke up at 4:30 am, drank barley tea(since the dorm cafeteria wasn’t open), took a train & the bus for 2 hours each way to attend Church. To keep the Sabbath Day holy, he didn't buy food but instead ate the crusts of the leftover sacrament bread, then commuted the long way back to arrive home by 9 pm. The cafeteria was closed by then, so he went to bed hungry. He did this every single Sunday. He believed if he kept all of God's commandments, his future children would be greatly blessed. He read in the scriptures that America is the chosen land & wanted to find out why. So after marrying my mom, they came to America with just enough money to pay 1 month’s rent($250), 1 month’s expenses($100), & 1 semester of tuition($700). My mom who grew up very wealthy, who had her own seamstress to design her clothes, woke up at 5 a.m every morning w/ my dad, shared a bike w/ my mom sitting on the seat & my dad riding while standing, to the gas station to clean the bathrooms. For 4 years, they didn’t own a car, stereo or a telephone & their only possession was a radio & 2 used bikes. They were never in debt. He received his Ph.D in Linguistics & started the Korean language program at BYU & taught as a highly respected professor until he retired. My dad's conclusion as to why America is the great, chosen land? He concluded that "America is great because the people are great." I'm grateful for my dad for his unwavering faith, strength and sacrifice so I could live in this Country that I love.🇺🇸

A 1-min. version of my pant suit to dress refashion. For a full length tutorial, go to www.ourlifeisbeautiful.com/pantsuittodress/ or link in bio. And I sewed today!🙌🏼 A new refashion will be posted tomorrow, give me a double tap if you’re excited! I realized today that it’s not the sewing that I lost the desire of, it’s the stopping to video record/take photos every single step of the process, then editing that gets me burnt out! I even hired a video editor but having to send all the footages, communicating back and forth a hundred times to get the right shots, length, style, adding voice overs, music, then making a pinnable image, thumbnail for IG, thumbnail for FB and YT… it’s a lot of hours and a lot of work. Recording every step slows down the whole sewing process so much. For example, I was all ready to sew then realized I forgot my tripod upstairs so I had to go get it and set it up, then stopping and readjusting the video camera every single step of sewing to get the right angle, making sure my voice is recording correctly and I’m saying the right things, zooming in and zooming out, documenting it takes much longer than the sewing itself and it takes the joy out of sewing. I just want to sew and fully be able to enjoy it and focus 100%! Oh, then my battery died so I had to stop sewing since I couldn’t record the instruction!😆 . So my dilemma is… do I even video record or take photos of the steps? Or do I document the main steps and not worry about the little details or tips? Or just take video/photo of the before and the after? I have so much respect for others who do refashion video tutorials.🙇🏻‍♀️🙌🏼 . So my question to you is, how much do you watch my step by step video tutorials or photo instructions and do you find it helpful? Or do you mainly just skim through the instructions and watch the before and the after, mainly for the entertainment factor?
